Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, operates a shop within the temple grounds and leads a contented life with his family. His world is turned upside down when he learns that his son, Vivek, has been hospitalized and the doctor wishes to speak with him. Following the doctor's consultation, Kanti discovers from Vivek's friend Zaheer that Vivek had taken certain pills in an attempt to increase his penis size, a decision prompted by his classmates' teasing about his stature. This action led to his hospitalization. Despite the shock, Kanti convinces Vivek to return to school, but his plans are thwarted when a video of Vivek engaging in inappropriate behavior in the school bathroom goes viral. As a result, Vivek is issued a suspension letter. The incident sends shockwaves through the community, leading to a social backlash against Kanti's family. As a true devotee of Lord Shiva, Kanti seeks divine intervention. He sends a messenger to assist him during this challenging time. The messenger, a wanderer in the region, provides Kanti with the support he needs. Gathering his strength, Kanti takes legal action against Vivek's school and others involved in the incident. He also petitions the court to have sex education mandatory in schools, hoping to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Plot
Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, operates a shop near the city's renowned Mahakaal temple. One day, he receives a distressing call from the hospital, informing him that his son, Vivek, has been found unconscious after an all-night masturbation session, during which he consumed several Viagra tablets. Vivek's friend reveals that Vivek, feeling insecure about his size, was misled into believing that masturbation would increase it. His biology teacher's refusal to answer his questions led him to seek advice from unscrupulous individuals and resort to drugs. The school chairman informs Kanti that a video of Vivek in the school washroom has circulated, causing a scandal. Consequently, Vivek is expelled on charges of obscenity. Kanti's affluent friend, Pandey Ji, a priest at the temple, advises him to leave town to protect their religious image. The video reaches Kanti's family and the entire neighborhood, leading to public shaming. Overwhelmed with despair, Kanti seeks divine intervention, and a divine messenger sent by Lord Shiva appears. Following a police complaint against Vivek for attempted murder of his bully, the messenger comforts Vivek and prevents two suicide attempts. He then meets Kanti and assures him that his son did nothing wrong. He uses the analogy of a breastfeeding mother to explain that not all private acts are obscene. He criticizes the school for its lack of proper education and Kanti for his failure to guide his son. He encourages Kanti to sue the school, the chemists, the doctor, and himself. Kanti takes legal action against all parties involved. When accused of promoting vulgarity, he defends his actions by arguing that the Sanatan Dharma and Indian culture have always been open to discussions about sex. He presents evidence from various books and the erotic art of the Ellora, Ajanta, and Khajuraho temples. Pandey Ji, however, asks Kanti to leave his home and shop, fearing that the case will damage their religious image. The opposition lawyer, Kamini Maheshwari, claims that Kanti is trying to shield his son's indecent act. Kanti counters by arguing that if the school had incorporated sex education into their curriculum, Vivek wouldn't have been so misinformed. The messenger continues to provide Kanti with guidance throughout the case. Kamini calls a sex worker to court, whose son also attends the same school, to demonstrate the school's high moral standards. Kanti turns to the sex worker, asking if she ever finds pleasure in her work. She responds that many men are unaware of a woman's body and its proper respect. Kanti suggests that if schools taught sex education, young boys would understand how to respect a woman's body. He then advises her son not to become like the ignorant men who seek her services. The courtroom falls silent at his words. He bows to her, praising her as a brave mother and teacher. As the trial progresses, Kanti raises issues about pornography, rape, drugs, and the necessity of sex education. The school chairman offers him ten million rupees to drop the case. Emotionally overwhelmed by thoughts of his son's future, Kanti signs the contract. However, he meets with an accident and is pronounced dead. The Messenger visits him in the hospital, reproaching him for losing faith and revealing himself as a divine emissary sent by Lord Shiva. The Messenger informs Kanti that his efforts have sparked a revelation, as Pandey Ji's granddaughter discloses the sexual abuse she's been suffering. This revelation, broadcasted on TV, prompts Kanti to realize his mistake. He is reincarnated and returns to the court. Vivek, who has been absent until now, presents evidence that the British colonization disrupted India's inclusive sex education system. Teenagers from the crowd come forward, admitting to masturbation and asserting that it's not a sin, including the Judge's son. Kanti emerges victorious, with the court ordering the education board to incorporate sex education, compensate Kanti, and readmit Vivek into school. Kanti introduces the Messenger to his family as "the doctor who treated him" and offers him the money he had intended for the temple. The Messenger reveals that the lost bag was his, containing cultural and religious books. He asks Vivek to keep it, and then departs, leaving a contented Kanti with his hands in prayer.
