Storyline
On a gloomy, rain-soaked day, Arnab and his parents are returning home after a meeting with Piyali about his impending nuptials. Their car inadvertently strikes an elderly woman, who tragically succumbs to her injuries on the spot. Arnab and the local law enforcement officers trace the woman's residence, where they discover her daughter, Ruksahana, confined and seemingly detached from reality. After performing the final rites for her mother, Arnab leaves Ruksahana at her home. However, Professor Qasim Ali and his men arrive to seize her, aware of her unique identity. Despite their efforts, Ruksahana manages to escape and find her way to Arnab's residence, where he graciously offers her sanctuary, unaware of her true identity.
Plot
The narrative centers on Ifrit, a malevolent entity, and Auladhchakra, a satanic cult in Bangladesh, who aim to continue Ifrit's bloodline. The cult's horrific ritual involves kidnapping women, invoking Ifrit to impregnate them, and then brutally killing the resulting demonic offspring. Professor Qasim Ali, a leader of a vigilante group, attempts to prevent this by capturing the women, ensuring their safe delivery, and then ruthlessly eliminating the demonic infants. Despite the group's noble intentions, their radical methods provoke outrage among the villagers, leading to their disbandment. Rukhsana, the daughter of a woman who escaped the cult's clutches, is a key character in the story. Arnab, a young man operating a printing press, is set to marry Piyali, a nurse. In a tragic accident, Arnab, his parents, and Piyali hit and kill an elderly woman. The police discover Rukhsana, a woman chained in the woman's hut, during their investigation. Feeling responsible and sympathetic, Arnab takes Rukhsana in. Despite her unfamiliarity with the modern world and her terrifying visions, Arnab finds her intriguing. As their bond deepens, Rukhsana falls in love with him. Rukhsana's mother bears the cult's mark, leading a mortuary assistant to inform Professor Ali. One night, Rukhsana falls ill. Arnab, mistakenly believing it's her menstruation, is unaware that her body is expelling the poisonous blood from her demonic lineage. Rukhsana kills a dog to purge the poison, and later confesses her love for Arnab. The following day, Professor Ali confronts Arnab with the truth about Rukhsana, but Arnab refuses to believe him. Disturbed by these revelations, Arnab begins to research Ifrit and discovers that Ifrit's offspring are born in a month, not nine. He contacts Professor Ali, who arrives with his men just as Rukhsana reveals her pregnancy. The cult members capture Rukhsana, torture her, and ultimately kill her with her own poison. Despite her cries for Arnab, he leaves, consumed by guilt. After three weeks, Piyali visits Arnab and he confesses the truth about Rukhsana. This conversation leads Arnab to realize the gravity of his actions and the importance of standing by those in need. In a dramatic turn of events, Rukhsana, having been subjected to relentless abuse, manages to break free. She confronts Professor Ali, resulting in a violent clash that ends with Rukhsana killing the professor. She then makes her way to Piyali's residence. Upon arrival, she injures Piyali, who, due to her own past experiences with abortion and her professional ethics as a nurse, cannot bring herself to kill Rukhsana. Instead, she assists Rukhsana during childbirth. The baby is born with an umbilical cord, a clear sign of its human nature. Rukhsana, having delivered the baby, leaves it with Piyali and disappears. Arnab, upon learning of Rukhsana's situation, rushes to the old hut where he finds her near death. Overwhelmed with emotion, he cries and embraces her. Despite the temptation to release her poisonous blood, Rukhsana chooses to retain it within her. Before succumbing to death, she reveals to Arnab that the baby is indeed human. In the poignant conclusion, Arnab reflects on Rukhsana's love, which he believes transformed the baby from a creature of Ifrit's hatred into a human being. This narrative underscores the power of love and the human spirit to overcome even the direst circumstances.
