Parthiban, a humble man residing in Shimla with his wife Satya and their two children, runs a local café. One night, a group of contract killers invades the town, causing chaos. Among the chaos, they target Parthiban's café. In a desperate attempt to protect his daughter and a fellow employee, Parthiban ends up shooting all the attackers. The incident is brought to court, where Parthiban is acquitted due to the criminal nature of the attackers and his act of self-defense. His heroic actions make him a local celebrity, with his story making headlines in several newspapers. However, not all are pleased with his newfound fame. One of the gangsters, Harold Das, spots Parthiban's picture in a newspaper and makes a chilling discovery. He recognizes Parthiban as Leo Das, a man presumed dead years ago. Harold informs his older brother, Antony Das, a notorious gangster, about his discovery. Antony, convinced that Parthiban is Leo, travels to Shimla with the intent to confront Parthiban. He attempts various methods to harass Parthiban, believing him to be Leo. However, Parthiban vehemently denies being Leo, insisting that he could be Leo's lookalike.
Plot
Parthiban, affectionately known as "Parthi", is a dual-role resident of Theog, Himachal Pradesh - a dedicated animal rescuer and a café proprietor. He shares his life with his wife, Sathya, their son Siddharth, or "Siddhu", and their daughter Mathi, or "Chintu". One day, his friend Joshy Andrews, a forest ranger, calls upon him to help tame a spotted hyena threatening the town. With Siddhu's assistance, Parthi successfully tranquilizes the hyena. The incident goes unnoticed by the public, and Parthi adopts the hyena once it has calmed down. One evening, Parthi and Chintu are at the café when a group of robbers, led by Shanmugham, attempts to rob the place. Parthi tries to appease them with money, but when one of the gang members makes a move on his employee, Shruthi, Parthi's anger erupts. He confronts the robbers and, in self-defense, kills them all. The incident earns Parthi a brief arrest, but he is soon released as the murders were committed in self-defense. However, his picture appears in newspapers across India, catching the attention of a notorious gangster, Harold Das, who informs his elder brother, Antony Das, about him. Fearing for their safety, Parthi requests a high-ranking, armed police officer from Tamil Nadu to provide protection for his family. His request is granted, and Napoleon, a recently promoted officer following his heroics in Tiruchirappalli, is assigned to protect Parthi's family. Upon meeting Parthi, Antony claims that Parthi is his son, Leo Das, who was presumed dead. Parthi denies this claim vehemently. Antony threatens him to accept his identity and surrender or face the consequences. Antony then meets Sathya and reveals that Leo is a mass murderer, prompting Sathya to investigate Parthi's past. In 1999, Antony founded a tobacco factory named Das & Co. Harold returned to India from Canada and began manufacturing and smuggling a highly lethal drug called datura, using the tobacco factory as a front. Antony's twin children, Leo and Elisa Das, were forced to carry out the dirty work to keep the business running smoothly. Antony, a follower of the occult, attempted to sacrifice Elisa to boost their tobacco products, but Leo, enraged, set fire to all of Harold's drugs. Tragically, Elisa was killed, and Antony shot Leo, who was presumed dead. Upon learning this, Joshy is convinced that Parthi cannot be Leo, and Sathya also finds definitive proof of this. Meanwhile, Antony abducts Siddhu and threatens to kill him, stating that he could not sacrifice Elisa with his own hands. Parthi and Napoleon pursue Antony and his companions, with Parthi eventually overtaking them. He vanquishes Antony and his men, but Siddhu remains elusive. Harold learns of Antony's demise and contacts Parthi, offering Siddhu in exchange for Antony's body. As Parthi approaches Harold's lair, Harold discloses that he has dispatched men to eliminate Sathya and Chintu. However, Napoleon, Joshy, and the hyena thwart Harold's plans, eliminating his men. Harold's forces assault Parthi at their lair, but Parthi successfully defends himself. As a fistfight ensues between Harold and Parthi, Parthi seizes a gun and points it at Harold. At this juncture, Harold concedes that Parthi is not Leo and proposes that he and his family can leave unharmed. However, Parthi erupts into laughter and finally admits that he is Leo, before fatally shooting Harold and rescuing Siddhu. He then sets the Das & Co. factory ablaze. Leo reveals that he has committed no noble deeds in his past and declares that anyone who seeks his story must either be dead or ready to die. This implies that he had been truthful with Antony about his identity before ending his life. In a concluding scene, as tranquility descends on Parthi's life, he receives a phone call. The caller informs Parthi that he is aware of his true identity and chides him for only destroying his family's datura factory, stating that it was insufficient to purge society of drugs as they are prevalent throughout India. The caller also suggests that he knows Parthi recognizes his identity, as Parthi sighs in frustration
